If you have not chosen a place where you would like to spend your vacation yet, we strongly suggest you considering Greece as one of the variants. Greece is always warm and sunny during May and October, which cannot be said, for example, about many resorts that are unstable, especially in early summer. Accordingly, if you buy holiday to Greek Islands, you can be sure that most of the vacation you will have good weather, and the water will be suitable for swimming.
Greek beaches, especially on the islands, are some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. In the latest TripAdvisor ranking based on reviews and ratings by cheap holiday deals, three Greek beaches – Balos and Elafonissi in Crete (the second is known for its pink sand), and Porto Limnionas is the hallmark of Zakynthos were among the top ten best beaches in the world. St. Paul’s Beach in Lindos, on the island of Rhodes, Egremni beach on Lefkada, Myrtos beach on Kefalonia and Paleokastritsy on Corfu are also worth mentioning. The Greek islands occupy one fifth of the country. In total, there are about 2500 thousand, however, only 165 are inhabited. The vast majority are in the Aegean Sea, although there are several important tourist islands in the Ionian – for example, Corfu, Lefkada and Kefalonia. These three islands are the most popular destinations.
It is easy to find places and buildings that have witnessed the formation of European culture there. Thanks to the excellent climate, the Greeks grow delicious fruits and vegetables, and due to the location they catch fresh fish and seafood daily.
The Greece cuisine includes many vegetables, fried meat and fish, as well as wonderful dairy products (for example, feta sheep cheese). Greeks prefer wine from alcoholic drinks, as well as Ouzo (aniseed vodka) and Metaxu – Greek cognac.
